In a significant step towards promoting organ and eye donation, Cisco India invited Deesha Education Foundation to conduct an awareness program for its employees on 25th July. This event was organized under Cisco’s CMS Community Warriors initiative, reflecting the company’s active engagement in social welfare.
The session was conducted by Mr. Swapnil Arun Gawande, the founder and Managing Trustee of Deesha. Swapnil holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA from the prestigious SPJIMR Mumbai, and a diploma in Hospital Administration from TISS Mumbai. He is an Acumen India Fellow, Forbes Foundation Fellow, and has been featured as an Amazing Indian by the Times Network for his remarkable work in eye and organ donation, and eye care.
Deesha Group has conducted over 2,400 awareness talks at various schools, colleges, corporate events, and more. This event with Swapnil's expertise provided an engaging and informative session where over 300 Cisco employees participated, demonstrating a keen interest in organ and eye donation. Attendees had the opportunity to ask numerous questions related to these crucial topics, gaining valuable insights into the importance and process of donation and the impact it can have on countless lives.
Employee Volunteering: A Creative Approach
Cisco employees volunteered to create videos and posters to raise awareness about eye and organ donation. With this creative engagement, employees showed their commitment towards spreading the awareness about this noble cause. These creative contributions will be used in future awareness campaigns, amplifying the reach and impact of our mission.
