Dr. Shraddha Dhakulkar, Deputy Director of the Hospital Cornea Retrieval Program (HCRP) at DEF's Deesha International Eye Bank, shared vital information about the dos and don’ts of eye donation, contraindications, and best practices for cornea retrieval. Her insights equipped the hospital staff with essential knowledge to handle potential donor cases.
Swapnil Arun Gawande, Founder & Managing Trustee of Deesha Education Foundation and Chairperson (WZ) of Eye Bank Association of India, highlighted the transformative impact of eye donation and shared success stories of corneal transplants. Eye Bank Technicians Himanshu Band and Anil Deshmukh addressed queries, providing practical solutions to challenges faced by hospital staff.
