Late Vasudev Narayandas Basantwani, a 72-year-old resident of Sindhi Colony, Karanja (Lad), passed away on Sunday, January 19, due to a cardiac arrest. Despite their profound grief, the Basantwani family displayed remarkable courage and made an inspiring decision to donate his eyes. This noble act was initiated by his sons, Harish Basantwani and Chandresh Basantwani, driven by the compassionate desire to give the gift of sight to those in need.

The family promptly contacted Dr. Vijay Jawaharmalani and Mr. Vijay Jeswani who volunteers for the national eye donation movement of the Deesha International Eye Bank, Amravati. Responding swiftly, Mr Himanshu Bund and Mr Anil Deshmukh from the eye bank traveled to Karanja and successfully completed the eye donation procedure in mid-night around 1 am. Present during this heartfelt moment were members of the Deesha Group Karanja, including Mukesh Thadani, Krishna Raghwani, Chirag Raghwani, Ishwar Basantwani, Harish Panjwani, Deepak Basantwani, Sanjay Basantwani, Santosh Nagwani, Prajwal Gulalkari and other family members.

The Basantwani family's cooperation and commitment to this selfless act were deeply appreciated by the directors and staff of the Deesha Education Foundation and the Deesha International Eye Bank. A heartfelt tribute was paid to Late Vasudev Narayandas Basantwani for his inspiring contribution.
